For us, it was a great honour and pleasure to be selected as one of this year’s exhibition highlights. The organisers of Maamess have a long-standing tradition of showcasing innovative solutions as exhibition highlights. In 2026, a total of 12 exhibits were chosen, making this recognition even more special. Henrik Urbel, Communications Manager at Tartu Näitused, commented:
“Agricultural drones are being talked about more and more, and they have been seen at the Maamess before. This time, however, we decided to award the exhibition highlight title to a particularly innovative solution – a drone being developed by young Estonians. We believe that whenever possible, future innovators should be supported and brought into the spotlight. Although we do not yet know exactly what the future holds for their drone, we hope that Maamess will provide them with a valuable springboard for establishing new contacts.”
During the three-day event, we had the opportunity to speak with partners, representatives of other companies, journalists, and visitors who had come to spend the weekend at the fair. Given the current geopolitical situation, some visitors were initially sceptical about our drone, but we were always happy to explain that it is designed for peaceful purposes.
It was wonderful to see both younger and older visitors eager to test their dexterity with the Estonian Aviation Academy puzzle. The best performers won a two-person flight experience in the Estonian Aviation Academy’s flight simulator, as well as one of our hoodies. The fastest time achieved over the three days was an impressive 28 seconds.
For the BlueNimbus team, Maamess was the first major opportunity to introduce the project to a wider audience. A great deal of planning and preparation went into making it happen. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand—it was a pleasure to meet and talk with you, and we look forward to seeing you again at Aviation Days!
